The Challenge
In the complex world of confidential computing, the team behind QLAD was developing a high-performance security platform to protect sensitive workloads across cloud, AI, and edge environments. The technology was cutting-edge, but the visual landscape of the industry was filled with cold, militaristic, or overly technical aesthetics that didn’t match QLAD’s human-centered, future-ready approach.
Omniscale Media brought Outfit on board to build a brand that felt trustworthy, sophisticated, and quietly powerful — one that could visually express protection, transparency, and innovation without leaning on overused security tropes.
The Approach
From brand strategy to logo design, typography, color palette, and use-case mockups, we collaborated closely with Omniscale and the QLAD team to bring clarity and distinction to a nuanced technology offering.
We crafted a logo inspired by a data cube protected by woven layers, a metaphor for QLAD’s layered protection model. The hexagon form hints at the Parkerian Hexad — six principles of information security — while the negative space creates a subtle cube, reinforcing the idea of data integrity and confidentiality at the core.
The color palette breaks from the expected: gradients of soft purples, glass-like silvers, and cool teals evoke transparency, calm, and intelligence. Instead of sharp edges and red alerts, we opted for an invisible guardian — always present, never intrusive.
The Outcome
QLAD launched with a clean, confident visual identity that stood out in a noisy and high-stakes industry. The branding helped position the platform as secure, elegant, and forward-thinking, a solution built not just to protect data, but to earn trust.
The project deepened our partnership with Omniscale Media and showcased our ability to handle complex, technical content with warmth, design clarity, and strategic care. It’s also become a standout example of our work in advanced technologies and enterprise-ready design systems.
